William D. Schreckhise (B.A., Washington State University, 1991; M.A., Washington State University, 1994; Ph.D., Washington State University, 1999) is an associate professor and the Director of Legal Studies. He teaches and researches in the areas of public policy, constitutional law, administrative law, and public administration.

He is the author of Evaluating American Democracy and Public Policymaking (2018) which assesses the abilities of the American political system to make public policy.

His work has appeared in journals such as Journal of Public Administration, Research and Theory, Administration and Society, Social Science Quarterly, State and Local Government Review, and Youth and Society. He is the recipient of Fulbright College’s Master Teacher Award (2014) and Outstanding Advisor Award (2017).
